Bay FC, one of two National Women’s Soccer League expansion teams debuting this season and the first women’s professional sports team in the Bay Area in more than a decade, revealed its white home kit as the club opened its inaugural preseason.
Designed by Nike, the jersey also features the team’s “fog gray” color, as well as Bay FC’s crest at the top right. The jersey also includes a patch at the lower left to commemorate the franchise’ inaugural season and sponsor Sutter Health’s logo at its center.
“We are excited to provide the Bay Area an opportunity to wear a kit with a professional female athlete’s name on their back adding to the incredible athletes who already call the Bay Area home,” said Brady Stewart, Bay FC’s CEO.
Bay FC is the first women’s professional sports team to call the Bay Area home since FC Gold Pride folded in 2010. A yet-to-be-named WNBA team is set to tip off in 2025.

The inaugural-season shield includes four stars, which are typically used to represent a club’s championships. In this case, the stars honor the team’s co-founders: Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, Danielle Slaton and Leslie Osborne.
All but Osborne were born in the Bay Area, and all four attended Santa Clara University before playing professionally and representing the U.S. in international competition. Chastain played for the defunct San Jose CyberRays and FC Gold Pride in previous women’s soccer leagues, and Osborne also played for FC Gold Pride.
In a release, team officials said that “all elements of the patch nod to the significance of women’s sports in the Bay Area, fan support, and the first-ever players representing the Bay.”
The jersey will be available for purchase in late February, with fans able to register interest at the club’s website. Tickets are still available for when the team kicks off its season in mid-March at San Jose’s PayPal Park.
